Yesterday we were confronted by the truth that God’s plans are not our plans. Most often, we think we know best for ourselves, but hindsight being what it is, we see how the Spirit navigates a different path, opposes and forbids us to travel one way, and guides us into the truth of the Gospel and to share it along the way.
As we look ahead, we trust that God’s Holy Spirit will continue to guide and direct our congregation, our leadership, and each individual members, friend, and guest. We pray that the truth of the Gospel would shape our hearts and transform us through repentance and forgiveness. When we pray “thy will be done,” we are asking that God lead and guide us according to his Word and not our own devices. This isn’t always easy, but it certainly is faithful.
