Our book club will meet on Sunday, August 12 at 2:00p at church. We will
discuss The Bookshop on the Corner (2016) by Jenny Colgan. This
delightful novel is about Nina Redmond, a librarian in London. She loses
her job and moves to a sleepy Scottish village many miles away, buys an
old van, and transforms it into a bookmobile. She then travels throughout
the countryside, lending books from her collection. Along the way she
connects with a grumpy landlord, a charming train conductor, and a
variety of other quirky characters who live in the area. This is a quick and
