This weekend we had a funeral at church for long-time member, Pat Galles. I was able to be at the hospital a few times with Pat and her family and then I was watching as several of you filtered into the building through the weekend. You came bringing bars for the luncheon; some of you came to serve. Others of you came bringing cards, handshakes, and hugs. I know that several of you prayed from afar as you were not able to be here or even if you couldn’t picture Pat and Charles. This is who we are and what we are about. As Saint Paul writes: “If one member suffers, we all suffer together; if one member is honored, we all rejoice together” (1 Corinthians 12:26). But more importantly, we support one another with the good news of Jesus Christ – who comfort us in our sorrows, who forgives our sin, and who promises to raise us to new life through the gift of salvation available in his name.
Thankful for our Community of Faith –
