Dear Friends in Christ –

Yesterday, as we heard about sibling rivalry in the story of Joseph, we celebrated a baptism of four siblings during the first service! Those two realities sitting side-by-side were powerful reminders about who we are and how God deals with us. Sometimes we don’t always get along. We don’t always express our love and gratitude the way we could. There are times when we can be downright foul and nasty to one another.
And yet, God gives us an enduring promise that when we have messed up, screwed up, and goofed up – God is faithful to forgive us. God shares his love with us, so that we can share it with others. We need each other…sometimes more than we can understand or imagine. Thankfully, God has not left us to ourselves but provides the caring community of faith to encourage, support, and pray for us as we go through life. Through this group of folks, we are reminded of the powerful word of the cross in our lives!

Thanks for being a part of this community of faith! We need you –
