Ofrendas are large shrine to a family’s loved ones who have died and are
remembered as part of Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. In many
Mexican indigenous communities and as the church celebrates All Saints
Day, many build these ofrendas as a way to remember those who have
died and commemorate their lives.
As part of our All Saints celebration, we are inviting you to bring in photos
of those individuals (living or dearly departed) to be included in our
church ofrenda. This will be a fun way for us to see the legacy of faith that
has been handed down to us by the Great Cloud of Witnesses (Hebrews
12:1). We are hoping to have our ofrenda built by Sunday, October 28.
Please drop off materials to Arynn in the office by Monday, October 22.
Photos, names, and written stories about individuals are welcomed!
