Dear Friends in Christ-

Last week after we returned from South Dakota, I took down the last notes out of my 2018 calendar book and then put it in the file cabinet (why do I even keep those things anyway?). It is one of my favorite things: A new calendar book…a whole year about to unfold, so many possibilities, many unknowns. The days will fill up with memories–some exciting, others difficult, some joy-filled, and others that are marked with sadness.
I’m not sure why I get so excited about it, but I have one idea. As I put it on Instagram last week: “Here’s to the endings and the beginnings. Here’s to the goodbyes and hellos. Here’s to failure and forgiveness. What 2019 will bring remains yet unseen. Regardless, I’m filled with hope in the God who starts us again, turns our pages, and whose faithfulness is new every morning.”

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13).

New Year Blessings to you all –
