Dear Friends in Christ –

Yesterday, we heard about the story of Job and the challenges he faced when tormented by Satan. It is a fascinating story and one that provokes fear and inspiration. Many people in our congregation, and throughout the community, are experiencing some sort of challenge and suffering right now. Cancer plagues the generations, illness and recovery is slow and arduous, broken relationships, fear, the list goes on.
At Holy Cross, we do not deny the realities of such troubles in the world. We do not downplay them or deny them. Instead, we face such realities head on in the strength of the Lord. We give thanks that the Lord Jesus Christ has defeated the power of sin and destroyed death’s dominion over us! “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord!”

No matter what your circumstance, God’s peace to you all, I pray.
Pastor Culynn
