I did miss being together yesterday, and when I woke up, I thought to myself, “We probably could’ve been together.” But as the morning went on and the winds picked up, I was thankful we didn’t have to venture out to our church building. If you ventured out into the weather yesterday, I hope you were safe and warm.
Even though we couldn’t be together, I am glad that technology allowed many of you to connect with us over Facebook Live. As I reflected on the Great Commission, we were reminded that we are called to make disciples in the real places of life: in our homes, schools, workplaces, grocery store, and coffee shop. I pray that each interaction becomes an opportunity to share the love, hope, and promises of Jesus. When people meet Jesus through us, the church will grow not by numbers, but in vibrancy as they believe and obey the Word of God.
Thanks for suffering the weather together. Spring is on its way…someday…hopefully…
