Dear Friends in Christ –

It is rather strange, but I find Annual Meeting Day to be a very emotional day. I’m not sure what that’s about, but if I had to guess, here are some possibilities. 1) It’s helpful to reflect on the past year, which proves the faithfulness of our God. 2) It’s important to be reminded that church is not just my work, but our communal witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 3) It’s wonderful to see so many who are willing to step into many leadership positions, putting their gifts and talents to work for the Kingdom. 4) It’s remarkable to see your intention of support when you adopt the upcoming year’s budget. 5) Lastly, as I mentioned yesterday, it has been the greatest privilege of my life to serve Holy Cross, to preach the good news of Jesus among you, to share in your joys and sorrows, and to be your pastor. I have been richly blessed by the opportunity!

With a heart full of gratitude for you!
Pastor Culynn
