Monday I was in Bloomington, MN, to attend the Augustana District Convocation for the Theology of the Cross. This is a yearly event hosted by the Board of Theology and Ministry (of which, I am the chair), for pastors and interested lay people for fellowship and learning around the tenets of our Christian faith. I am grateful for our partnership with Augustana; not only for the rich theological heritage we seek to preserve within North American Lutheranism but also for our mission partnerships (Ethiopia and India) and the network of pastors and congregations to which we belong. The church is stronger when the church works together.
