Dear Friends in Christ –

For those who were around here last week or attended service on Sunday, you could sense the energy and joy that surged through our community of faith, thanks to another successful week of VBS! It is always a wonderful time and puts a fresh breeze in the sails as we anticipate fall ministry kickoff.
That anticipation comes with lots of uncertainty and excitement. We have to face the reality: Pandemic life changed us all…our families, our habits, and our communities; that includes the church. Returning to the usual model for ministry and maintaining the status quo are obvious possibilities. But, I wonder how the Spirit may be prompting us to listen and lead in different directions. Our mission remains the same: Through Jesus Christ, we are living the God-fashioned life together. The staples don’t change: Word and Worship, Community and Confession, Spiritual Gifts and Service.
The shape and program may need to adjust. I’m never sure what that means. Thankfully, we don’t walk alone! God goes before us and we have our friends beside us. Please prayerfully consider how you might step in and be involved as Fall Ministry approaches.

Living the God-fashioned life with you,
Pastor Culynn
