Dear Friends in Christ –

Thank you to Rosanna Chambliss for preaching this past weekend and all the others who led the Services and the Adult Forumation on Sunday. Over the weekend, 8 of our confirmation students, along with Anastasia Martin and me, traveled to Alexandria, MN, where we met up with 75+ new confirmation friends and their 20+ adult leaders from ND, SD, MN, WI, and MI (!) for the Augustana District Retreat: Identity in Christ. Our learning sessions were guided by four questions: 1) Who Am I? 2) Who is God? 3) Who is My Neighbor? 4) Why Do I Care? My friend, Pastor Julie Smith, and I tag-teamed the teaching times. We studied the Bible, played some games, slipped on the ice, built new friendships and strengthened old ones, laughed a lot, and had loads of fun! This is why we partner with the District; because of the rich, meaningful opportunities that we can do together that wouldn’t be the same if we tried to do it on our own. Then, on Sunday morning, our kids led the Service. They did everything but preach and preside: Read Scripture, led the prayers, served communion. It has been really fun to watch these young people grow to know the Lord Jesus, believe in him, and share God’s love with others!

Living in the Freedom and Love of the Lord!

HOLDEN EVENING PRAYER
Thank you to all who joined us for the first midweek Lenten Service last week. You did such a great job learning and singing the Holden Evening Prayer! We were very impressed, and it is only going to get better as we get more comfortable with it. We hope you will join us as we “Pray Like This” through the Season of Lent. Join us again this evening at 7:00pm (soup is served at 6pm).

To prepare for worship on Sunday
(March 12), you are invited to read: Matthew 22:1-14
