Holy Week is such a meaningful time for the ministry of our church and also for many of us personally, as we reflect on who Jesus is and what he came to do for us. It is important that we never lose sight of the cross and empty tomb. There is no greater love expressed, no historical event more influential, no power more dynamic than God’s life-giving commitment for the world, expressed so richly in Christ Jesus, his death and resurrection.
Thank you for setting aside normal weekend routines to attend all of the services last week. Thank you for coming to the Lord’s Table, singing the hymns, listening to the sermons, praying through the vigil, and sharing Easter joy with one another. If what you heard over the weekend has been nagging at your heart or you are interested to know more and grow in this grace, then know this: Holy Cross Lutheran Church is a place where we live out the God-fashioned life together. I am convinced that what is happening here is unique and has the power to change lives. And while we “do-it-up” on Holy Week, the message of the cross continues to be central to all that we do each and every week. The Spirit is present here and grants life-changing realities for you and for all you hold most dear! Come alongside us, join us, and you’ll never be the same!
