Things got a little chaotic during our Children’s Message yesterday. For those of you who weren’t there, the kids had to “Power Up” and then go share the power with someone else, who then was activated to “Power Up” and do the same. The kids did three rounds, and we nearly had the entire congregation on their feet! It was so great.
The illustration is a reminder that the services of God’s House create, renew, strengthen, and nourish us in faith as we “Power Up” through God’s Spirit, through the Word read and preached, and through the Sacraments. It is the most vital part of our ministry together, and all of it is God’s service to us! What a joy to be together, to grow in faith, and to be strengthened for service.
