Dear Friends in Christ –

As I mentioned in my sermon on Sunday, the story of Jesus’ encounter with the widow at Nain and her resurrected son will always remind me of Holy Cross and its physical location. But what is more important is that no matter where we are…whether we are at church, staying close to home, or out and about…we are witnesses of the resurrection. Jesus Christ who died for our sins and was raised for our justification is Lord of our Church and the Lord of your life. May you navigate this week in the certainty that “neither death nor life…will be able to separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).
Today, I am in Hutchinson as the chair of the Board for Theology and Ministry, preaching and emceeing the Convocation for the Theology of the Cross, a theology conference for the district pastors and interested lay people. We continue to be encouraged and strengthened by this partnership within LCMC.

Trusting the promises of our Risen Savior with you, Pastor Culynn
