Are you watching the Olympics? We have been glued to the TV. The kids have had afternoon naps, so they can stay up late and watch. The athleticism and the excitement is all on display and it is just darn fun!
It has been quite remarkable to watch, that under the circumstances and challenges, athletes from all over the world are coming together and celebrating their shared commitment to sport. I wonder what it would look like if we, too, remembered that we are celebrating our shared commitment to Christ our Savior in our worship, fellowship, study, and service. It is possible that the excitement of the Olympics could be eclipsed by the grace and power of God at work in the world…in and through us. It takes all of us coming together and committed to the cause of Christ in our midst and in one another.
Joining you in the excitement and commitment of faith,
Pastor Culynn
