Dear Friend’s in Christ

Last weekend, Meg and I were in Oklahoma City for a wedding. One day, we made our way to the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. Across the street from the site of the bombing, a tree remains standing after all of the turmoil, debris and years of healing. It is a symbol of hope for the survivors. Around the tree a large rock-hewn veranda has been built and these words are etched into the wall: “Our deeply rooted faith sustains us.”
As you continue to reflect on the Kingship of Christ, prepare your Thanksgiving gatherings, and ease into the Advent season, may your deep roots grow deeper into Christ. May Jesus be the Savior of your lives, the Song of your hearts, and the Strength of your deeds.

Happy Thanksgiving!
