From the moment of Martin Luther’s great theological discovery, he had sparked a series of concerns among political and church leaders. In 1521, he was excommunicated from the church and was hidden away in The Wartburg Castle. Due to Luther’s departure, life in Wittenberg had become rebellious. In March 1522, Luther came out of hiding and began an eight-day sermon series on the practices of the Reformation and how to faithfully and lovingly implement these new beliefs and changes.
