Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Last week, the church gathered and tuned in to remember and retell the story of our salvation, Christ’s Passover from death to life. It is an incredible story…one we’ve heard before and yet hearing it again…we are renewed and restored. And although we are surrounded by death and threatened on every side, Christ’s resurrection does not disappoint, for we do not grieve as those who have no hope.
It was a remarkable thing to gather again for these services, so full of meaning and beauty. To see so many people gather…for many people a return to church, long awaited and long anticipated. We cannot be church…a community of faith…without each other, thus, Christ’s resurrection is our own! What wonderful joy! I pray that as the Easter season continues (seven weeks in total), that you will continue to gather, to support one another, and celebrate the joy of the resurrection and the story of our salvation!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
