This concludes the trilogy of the 2nd generation of original settlers to the
Red River Valley. We have really enjoyed reading about these
courageous settlers, the hardships and joys in a new land, and marveled
at their faith. Though they worked hard, they continually trusted God to be
with them and provide for their needs. However, will this new land and its
possibilities be the dreams of the young, or will they feel fenced in?
We often found ourselves relating to our own past farming generations
and what their life must have been like as immigrants to America.
