Prayer Intentions for August

August usually means that the schedule opens up for family trips, travel,
and soaking in the last few days of summer. So, we turn to God, who
through the Sabbath into the week and seasons of the year, that he might
bless us with Holy Rest, Renewal, Recreation!
Gracious and Holy God, we praise you and thank you for who you are; for
the wisdom of daily sleep, weekly Sabbath, and seasons of going and
staying. We ask that during the month of August, as we set out on all sorts
of adventures, that you would be with us, grant us traveling mercies,
strengthen the bonds of family and friends, and help us grow in our faith
as we daily trust in you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
