November is one of my favorite months for ministry. We’ve settled back into the rhythm of weekly worship, Adult study, confirmation, etc. etc. Then, I take a week off for my annual hunting trip (just kidding; although it can’t hurt, right?). In all honesty, the Festival of All Saints sets the tone for me. It reminds us that we are inheritors of eternal life–won for us through the victory of our brother, Jesus the Messiah.
But also, that we are inheritors of the kingdom and this holy ministry to the Lord. It is not ours, but belongs to the whole church–who came before us and will come after us–for the sole purpose of strengthening and building up the Church of Christ on earth and watching pages of names be added to the Eternal Book of Life.
Today, you have access to another remarkable Annual Report. It outlines God’s faithfulness to us in the past year. It casts a vision for our shared ministry in the coming year together. I am grateful for everyone who has taken time to put this annual report together and to those of you who are part of this ministry. Most importantly, in this month of giving thanks, we sing the praise of Him who died and rose again, that we might have a message to share with each other, with our families and neighbors, and with the whole world!
With a heart full of gratefulness,
Pastor Culynn
