Dear Friends in Christ –

Dear Friends in Christ,

All summer, we have been learning more about God’s character as we read about his interactions with Abraham and Sarah: Our Parents by the Promise. Abraham and Sarah are far from perfect! Yet, God doesn’t abandon the plan. It seems that every bad thing that happens in the story is the result of human scheming. Every good thing that happens is the result of God’s faithfulness to his promise. The promises of land, nation, honor, and blessing are fulfilled, not because Abraham pursued some dream, but because God fulfilled the destiny.

As summer draws to a close and school is about to begin, you and your kids might be thinking about what goals and accomplishments you want to achieve in the coming year. While vision is helpful, think about instilling the truth of God’s faithfulness to one another. Remind each other of God’s promises. Encourage one another in faith, knowing that this is by far the most important, all-encompassing reality of this life and the next!

Living in God’s Blessing with you,
Pastor Culynn
