Dear Friends in Christ –

We are off and running! We had a delicious picnic in the rain, and then enjoyed a beautiful evening of kickball (Adults were victorious, 18-12)! Two services are back, and we had a wonderful All-Church Faith Formation experience on Sunday as well. It was so great to see the caring interactions between young and mature. WOW carries on as usual at 6:00pm, and Confirmation and Youth4Him are up and running too.

On Sunday, the psalmist challenged the adults among us to share the faith with the coming generations. I encouraged our young people to ask the adults in their life to tell them about Jesus. As I said, “This can’t be the work of one person wearing a clergy collar; there’s too many lives at stake and not enough hours in the day. Every Christian is called to proclaim the good news and love of Jesus in thought, word, and deed!” After the sermon and singing “O Zion, Haste!,” it was not lost on me that we stood to confess the Creed. There you have it – a brief summary of our Christian faith. Think of each phrase and their stories from Scripture. Reflect on what each phrase means to you, and you will have a testimony and witness to share! Take a few moments this week and see what a gift that is to you and those around you!

I Love to Tell the Story with you,
Pastor Culynn
