Dear Friends in Christ –

On Sunday, we had yet another uneventful Annual meeting. We started on time and were finished in under 30 minutes. In that time, we acknowledged the gift and blessings of the previous year. We saw willing volunteers and individuals, perceived as valued leaders, within our faith community step up and step into committee roles. We adopted a budget for 2024, including supporting funds to send a team of members on a mission trip in August 2024. Finally, we elected and installed Church Council members.

Following the meeting, the sanctuary was filled with small groups in conversation. Pre-teen students began practicing for the Advent and Christmas season. We enjoyed coffee and refreshments and one another’s company. Down the hall, Faith Formation children continued in their studies of the Scripture. Then, we started up the Sanctuary Service at 10:30am, and things went on as normal. That’s the nature of the church…we keep our head’s down in the Scriptures. We keep putting money in the plate to finance the ministry. We keep putting one foot in front of the other, marching onward to the Kingdom and inviting others to follow in our Lord and Savior’s train.

I’m grateful that you are a part of what’s going on here at Holy Cross!
Thank you,
Pastor Culynn
