Dear Friends in Christ –

Last Thursday, we attended our children’s school holiday program. There is something about those little voices singing the sounds of the season that is just so adorable. There was a poignant moment during the program where the third graders sang a song about “lighting a candle of peace.” It is no surprise to you that my eyes welled with tears.

In a world filled with anger and war, hatred and rage, we do not lose hope! We know of the One who came into our world to set things right, to judge the nations with righteousness, and who will redeem all that has gone amiss. As we draw ever closer to Christmas, I pray that you will continue to keep the fires burning of peace and joy! And, should you need a reminder of the importance of this festive season, join us on Sunday at 10:30am, to hear children proclaim the story of Christmas with their program, What Child is This.

Praying for peace for you, for us, for all,
Pastor Culynn
