Dear Friends in Christ,

On Sunday, the Church Council very regretfully received the resignation of Jean Wagner, the Discipleship Coordinator at Holy Cross. As she wrote in her letter: “I truly have been blessed to be given the opportunity to serve this congregation. I have loved my time here.” Jean joined our staff during Eastertide in 2014. Since that time, she has been an indispensable member of our staff and community of faith. Her understanding of the Bible and theology has made her a capable conversation partner, curriculum writer, and teacher. Her creative vision has prompted several years of faith-filled fun and learning at our weekly Vacation Bible School. She has been diligent in finding and scheduling volunteers, equipping our members and friends to serve in a variety of other areas of our ministry together. Her fingerprints and prayers are all over our building and our congregational life. Jean’s last Sunday will be February 4. We hope that you will join us that day as we celebrate Jean, give thanks for her ministry among us, and ask for God’s blessings as she goes on her way!

With thanksgiving,
Pastor Culynn
