Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
The good news of the empty tomb cannot be isolated to one hour on one Sunday in early springtime. All sin is forgotten, the devil is defeated, death is destroyed, and the grave has been conquered. One of those is a big deal; all of them together radically alters the world and the way in which we live and move through it. As we prayed the Collect on Sunday, we asked that “We may die to sin and rise everyday.”
The Easter season continues now for 7 weeks. The Sunday readings take us to the Book of Acts, where we watch the Church of Christ spread across the known world, empowered by the Spirit of the Living God! Our Adult Forumation will be studying the hopeful message of John’s Revelation. There are lots of exciting things still taking shape as we enter into Spring, and I hope that you and your family will come and be a part of it all!
