I was glad when they said onto me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
+ Psalm 122:1
Dear Friends in Christ,
This week, I am in the process of returning from sabbatical. I’d like to say that I’ve hit the ground running; and in some ways we have. Kids have started school, I am back to teaching. We are remembering to set alarm clocks and trying to get back to a regular bedtime. But in all honesty, this return is filled with paradox, as my Dad was hospitalized on Sunday. Our hearts have never longed to be in two places at the same time.
When I was at church yesterday, I did get connected with the Women’s Group. Nevertheless, I cannot wait for the weekend! It will be fun to be reunited at the picnic and kickball game! (I even have some new tennis shoes.) It will be wonderful to worship with you! (And, I promise, I’ll brush up on the liturgy so I don’t sound too rusty.) Let us share in the gladness that the House of the Lord brings to us all!
God’s richest blessings upon you!
Pastor Culynn
