On Sunday (and tonight at WOW), we reflected on the power struggle that exists in the world. It goes much deeper than the social and political divides of our day. In fact, these become a distraction from the sole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ. The real power struggle is between the Lord and the devil; a battle of faith and unbelief. It is a weird thing to be caught in the middle of a battle that has already been won, isn’t it?
Because, indeed, that is what has taken place! Throughout the book of Ephesians, Saint Paul will celebrate the power which raised Christ from the dead; the same power which seated him at the right hand of God. The power with which he rules over all of heaven and earth! It is this very power at work in you, through faith in the Son of God, guided by the Holy Spirit. As you go through this week, remember that Jesus is seated above! He is not as a tyrant who rules with an iron fist, but he is your Lord of Mercy and God of Grace!
Blessings on your Week,
Pastor Culynn
