“I am the church. You are the church. We are the church together. All who follow Jesus, all around the world; Yes, we are the church together!”
It has been a real joy to be together again; to see the house of God full of the faithful. To hear you singing, confessing your faith in the creed, and praying the Lord’s prayer together.
At the same time, I am grateful that technology has advanced to give us an opportunity to share the Word and Sacraments in real time. That wherever you are, you are part of “us” and you belong to the Kingdom of God. However you participate in the life of the community, whether in-person at the sanctuary on Sundays or Wednesdays; or whether from your couch, your phone…don’t forget that you belong to “us,” that you are part of the body of Christ, sharing the hope and love of Christ in the places where you live, work, learn, and play. And most importantly, that you belong to Christ Jesus, our Savior and Lord.
Through Jesus Christ, we are living the God-fashioned life together.
