Book Club

Our November meeting was our year-end “books & lunch” held at Madigan’s
in Maple Lake. We had a great time discussing the ups and downs and pros
and cons of the novel, The Red Tent, based on the character Dinah from
Genesis. We mostly agreed it was quite an eye-opener for life in early, old
testament times.
There is no meeting in December with all the Holiday festivities. However,
we will be reading our January pick which is Gods and Kings by Lynn Austin.
This is the first from a series called “Chronicles of the Kings”. It is historical
fiction and follows the life of the prophet, Hezekiah in the Old Testament.
Join us on January 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall if you enjoy
reading and fellowship and lively discussion! Most of our book picks can be
