This Sunday, we will kick off a three-week trip to the city of Corinth. Corinth was a metropolis of the ancient world, rich with Greek culture and mythological cults. The local church was a community plagued by division and lawlessness under the influence of the larger society.
Saint Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians is bookended by the heart of the gospel: Chapter one is about the cross and chapter fifteen is about the resurrection. In between, he addresses the issues in light of the forgiveness and hope we have through our Lord Jesus Christ! As we turn to this letter, may our life together be defined by the same. In Christ, we live forgiven and free, in harmony with one another, and as a witness to the world around us.
Looking forward to our tour!
